SKANKT and SELECTER
at Gloucester's Guildhall Arts Centre

SELECTER 8th September 2000 flyer

On the evening of Friday 8th September 2000 I was once again at the Guildhall Arts Centre in Gloucester, this time it was to see a band called THE SELECTER.

I was not sure what to expect as I thought I only knew one of their songs (ON MY RADIO), but as they went through their set I realized I knew a lot more. Tracks performed on the night included TOO MUCH PRESSURE, MISSING WORDS, THREE MINUTE HERO, JAMES BOND, and TRAIN TO SKAVILLE to name but a few.

However, even before THE SELECTER came on stage I knew I was in for a good night because even the support band, who were called SKANKT, were excellent.

I really enjoyed the show which was made even better as afterwards I met PAULINE BLACK, lead singer of THE SELECTER, who gave me her autograph (pictured below) and a kiss.
